Katharine's bout in the round of 8 was against Toncica Topic from Croatia. Katharine had lost to her in the semi-finals of the Modling, Austria tournament last November.

  • The bout goes into overtime with a 10-10 score.  Katharine won 11-10 advancing her into the round of 32.
  • The round of 32 is displayed on boards at each end of the venue listing approximate start times for each of the bouts.
  • Katharine has the wireless fencing device adjusted by the STM (the company that produces the wireless apparatus) armourer.
